In the last week of October, 2009, we shall bring online our newest server, named Pegasus. This server will herald a major departure from our previous offerings, because it will use the WHM/cPanel combination of control panels in place of Parallels Ensim Pro which is used on all of our other servers.
With cPanel customers will have the use of the Fantastico DeLuxe add-on which allows for the 1-click auto-install of a multitude of scripts. Customers will also be able to access the backups taken of their websites from within cPanel, via a dedicated dark fibre (dedicated fibre optic) connection to the backup servers.
Whenever we bring a new server online we go for the best specification available at that time and Pegasus is no exception. Pegasus will have 2 of the latest Quad Core Intel “Nehalem” CPU’s (chips), a massive 16 Gigabytes of RAM, and top-quality SAS Hard Drives operating under RAID 1.
