Q: Can I have multiple websites under 1 Semi Dedicated package?: A: Each SD package is structured around 1 cPanel account. You can add additional domains with their own web space as "add-on domains" but you cannot create separate cPanel accounts for each site. Details on how "add-on domains" work are here: Subdomains, Parked Domains and Addon Domains .
Q: Does Semi Dedicated give me root access?: A: No. Semi Dedicated packages are located on one server and therefore root access is firmly restricted to server admins only.
Q: Can I change the server modification or install programs which require root access?: A: Probably not. Some modifications we may able to help with, but generally any program that requires root access is not suitable for our Semi Dedicated hosting packages.
Q: How does CloudLinux work?: A: CloudLinux keeps each account in its own virtualized environment (LVE) with a predetermined amount of resources. Should any account on the server receive a sudden load spike, then the effects are contained to the LVE and don't impact on any other account.
Q: What do I need to look after?: A: Generally, the site owner is responsible for the software running on their site, so any software version upgrades, modifications etc are your responsibility. Anything to do with the server itself, such as PHP/MySQL, firewalls, security etc we look after.
Q: I can't find a package that fits me - do you offer any other packages?: A: Yes, we can provide custom quotes. Please get in touch with details of your requirements.
Q: Where are you located?: A: The servers are located in secure UK data centres (Centro, Telstra). Our office is in Wroxham, Norfolk, UK.
Q: Can I install my own SSL Certificate?: A: Yes, just order the Dedicated IP Address from us and then install your own certificate.
